Absolutely what I was looking for as a second floor Tom.
I use a DW 16x16 shell for this head.
It is super punchy and offers a short low end sustain perfect for recording and even live with little EQ needed to produce the perfect sound.
What I recommend if using for floor Tom:
Expect a punchy short sustained sound
If you use a 16x14 shell expect less tone
The deeper the shell the better tones you’ll get
It’s originally a bass drum head.... so don’t expect tones like the EC2S or G2.
Seems like most people on here expected it to sound like what they hear on YouTube, but forgetting the extensive post production they do to get those tones... As for the head by itself with our EQ, it’s 100 times better than I was expecting
