Works pretty good together with the KAT Percussion KT-TBB "tennis ball" beater

Works pretty good on my DIY kick drum trigger. I really was hoping to use this with the KAT tennis ball beater to eliminate double hits, but this plan didn't work. I can't entirely blame this patch or the beater for this issue. It could be the fault of the Remo practice pad. I've loosened the head on the practice pad as much as I can, but this didn't help. I think I play like most drummers do and that's to let the beater rest on the head after the hit, but this is what causes double hits with electronic drums. It's not easy, but I'm having to adjust my playing style to let the beater spring back off the head immediately after the hit and this eliminates the double hits. But again, playing like this is a bit difficult.

I bought the Evans single and the this double bass pad. I use an electronic drum set and I have a mesh drum head on my bass drum the EQ patches would stick for a while, but they came off after about 2-3 weeks of play. They are too thin for electronic drums. I bought the Drum-Tech Pro patch and it really works well. It's 2-3 times thicker and the glue really sticks to the mesh head.

Perfect - but small for double bass

Got this for my husband...he kept getting holes in his bass drum head. Since using this, been a few months now, it has saved his drum head. He REALLY likes that it does take some of the "boing" out of the drum - wished there were some for his tom heads too! But haven't seen any...
ONLY complaint: the double bass set wasn't long enough for him. He ended up using both in the set, one for each petal.

Exceptional value for the price. Gives a more evenly distributed kick for uniform sound which is great when using a double kick pedal. Protects your bass drum head without being too solid, preventing the plastic-y smack sound that results from other products without flex. My one concern is that it won't last super super long with heavy use, especially if you're using the reverse end of your beaters, but it actually comes with two. I thought I was just paying for one. Cool surprise
