These have always been loud and good sounding. I have used them for many years. I bought a whole lotsof them in different keys when they were 9 bucks each. I wish I had bought twice as many.
The covers are a little thick for my use (in my old harp holder), so I put them in old Marine Band covers which make for a slightly slimmer package (some assembly required - ha!).
