There is just something classic about this lens beyond the full manual, and all metal construction.

Picture quality is amazing, and I have had fun with it shooting video.

If I didn't have a Micro Four Thirds camera this would probably be my favorite lens. I was thinking too far into the future when I purchased this lens, as I don't have a full frame camera to use this with, I am not able to use this lens to it's full potential.

Quite noticeable softness and CA wide open on 6MP

I only use this one for my EPSON R-D1xG as a fast normal lens. I know it should be soft and it should have CA wide open, but they are quite noticeable. Remember I'm only using a 6 megapixel camera with it. Comparing to a DSLR lens with the same price, it's not as good. Maybe it's good enough in terms of price, comparing with Leica.

For the price, this is an amazing lens. I waffled back and forth between getting a Leica 28mm $$$$ or Zeiss, then settled on the Voigtlander. It's super fast and pretty sharp, couples well with my Leica M6. Solidly built.

I've shot mostly at night with it and I'm super happy with the results. If you can't afford a Leica lens, this is a great option, and you can't go wrong with the Zeiss Ultron either.

Bottom line: no one is going to make a garbage lens for a Leica camera. Go out there and shoot photographs and have fun!

Stiff focus ring

Seems like it's okay optically on an M10. The ergonomics (small tab) and the stiff focus ring make it slow and hard to focus quickly. Decent lens but it gets 2 stars for not being well thought out for usability, like a lot of Voigtlander products. I really want to like their stuff and switch over to save money but they really need to update the barrels and work on the little details like focus drag and proper tabs.

Not only was this an amazing deal but the seller practically teleported the lens to me. I ordered it in the afternoon and had it the next day. Amazing. I am loving this lens.
