I just A/B tested these against Mogami 6 footers witch cost $44 here on Amazon. NO DISCERNIBLE DIFFERENCE. I've had the Monoprice cables for a few months but read about all how great Mogamis are and wanted to try them with my studio monitors (Mackie 828.) Connected a Mogami to the right speaker and Monoprice to the left. Played some recordings in mono and panned back and forth. Exactly the same. So, feel good about these inexpensive cables. They are actually high quality in terms of audio signal.

Used to connect my DBX 286s to a Whirlwind Micmute PPD (from which a 1-foot Monoprice XLR female-to-male cable runs into my Behringer Xenyx 302USB mixer), and it does exactly what it's supposed to do with no problems. Shielding was of particular concern to me due to all the electromagnetic radiation -- RF included -- in and around my studio, and this cable shows no sign of interference, so if you have any concerns about bleed, you should have no reason to worry unless you're putting the cable right up against an improperly shielded device or an RF cable (and if you understood any of what I just said, you're smart enough to not do that anyway, so what am *I* telling you this for?). This is just one of several Monoprice cables I've bought in recent years, and I have yet to be dissatisfied. They're selling superb-quality stuff at excellent prices.
I've used many Monoprice cables for a number of years and I'm satisfied with the cost/performance ration and build quality.
Purchased the Monoprice 104761 6Ft Premier Series XLR Male to 1/4Inch TRS Male 16AWG Cable (Gold Plated) in combination with a pair of 10Ft XLR Male to Female from the identical product category to use with my Yamaha HS7's and HS8S Active Monitors and Subwoofer. This was an upgrade from the hodge-lodge Hosa/Monster cable combination used in conjunction with a NI KA6 Audio Interface for a few years.
Noise rejection was improved, but this is an arbitrary assessment and I've no benchmarks to back that up. The cable thickness is not so much to make the cables inflexible, but they retain sufficient heft to install confidence - certainly an improvement over my previous cables and at this price point I'm pleased. Blue Tooth interference with the Active Monitors remains an issue - have to remember to disable Blue Tooth on the iPhone and iPad in close proximity - but that has nothing to do with these cables.
Just ordered some 10Ft USB cables from Monoprice to use with my NI MIDI instruments as I'm finding the default NI Cable lengths restrictive in my desired floor layout of the home office/music space. Hope those work as well for me as these do.
