My 5 yr old buddy who is currently into numbers and math is timing everything he does with this thing! It seems to be a quality product and is not complicated to use - minimal buttons, straightforward, easy to read.

Quick list:
•Three buttons: clear, stop, and go. In order to clear it, you must stop it first, and that's about as complicated as it gets.
•Noiseless.
•Colors are random. Mine came in purple though I never selected an option.
•Screen is not very bright.
•Batteries easily accessible with a small screwdriver.

Replaced our other stop watch with this and, so far, it is so much better than what we had.

I work in a class for high risk students, and our discipline involves time outs to teach self regulation. With other stop watches, I would have difficulty actually starting or clearing the timer because I would often be in some weird mode I couldn't get out of.

In addition, those watches made noise with every button press so the absence of the noise led to countless, "have you started my time yet?". Furthermore, alarms were set on it by accident so it would repeatedly go off in the middle of class.

With this, there are no noises; no bells and whistles that ultimately complicate what should be very simple technology. Clear, stop, go--those are the only options included, and the only options needed for my purposes.

I've been running using HIIT (High-intensity interval training), which is 35 seconds running, 70 seconds walking. This simple stop watch allows me to more precisely stay on track. It's so simple, I don't even have to look down at the device to start, stop and clear readouts. Past stop watches have been so complicated that I need my glasses to see what I'm doing. I know this was designed for kids, but it's PERFECT for my needs!
