I seriously just love these. If you are in one of those awful science majors where you have to write novels of notes just to understand the material, this is your salvation. I used to use normal pens, but I am such a perfectionist that I would actually tear out the page and start again if I misspelled a word. It's not like I have a ton of free time to be doing this, but it's like an impulse.
Thank goodness I found these. They have revolutionized my note taking experience. I'm also an academic tutor as well as a student and about half of my students rush out to buy these after they see me using them.
Here are some tips for using them:
- Only write on one side of the page. Erasing one side of a page will also erase the other if there is ink on both sides. That's because it's the heat from the friction (Ha! get it? Friction/Frixion?) that makes the ink disappear.
-If you've erased a spot too aggressively, you probably need to wait a second for the paper to cool before you can write again.
-If the pen is full of ink but it appears to be dry and not coming out, a combination of soaking the tip in rubbing alcohol and then rubbing it on a rubbery surface should help loosen things up and get the ink flowing again.
I got the Frixion highlighters and pens too. The mountain doodle is drawn entirely with a combination of Frixion products.
