The packaging is absolutely awful. This is the manufacturer's packaging, not Amazon's. All it consists of is the stand, draped in a large plastic bag (think: trash bag), in a cardboard box. When it got to my house, the box looked like it had lost a knife fight. Take a look at the pictures to see for yourself. The box in the pictures is the REPLACEMENT that Amazon sent me. Both boxes looked like this.
The square plastic pole coverings for the second tier are both broken clean down the side, the metal of the stand itself is bent, and it was missing a rubber cap on the top tier. There is a LOT of play (movement to the left and right) in the upper tier arms, enough that I don't trust putting anything of value up there.
Hercules may have made a great product, but the world will never know. They severely cut corners on packaging, so all you're going to get is a broken piece of junk.
