对比c套t100，密封性更好，音效更强，低音炮加成。海绵浸胶，只求隔音，不求舒适。外径和c套t100小号相当，耳道压迫感更大，充满异物感，使劲捅得越深，音效越还原，此为音特美aucc technology的设计，近距离对准耳膜发功。

Fits my etymotic er3xr. More comfortable than the silicone tri-flang tips, lacks in longevity.

The only complaint I have about these foam tips are
1) Stiffness. I am almost certain that the original foamy ones that came with my er3xr are softer. But these looks as authentic as they can be and does work the same as the original ones.
2) Doesn't expand as fast as the original ones. This complaint is along the same line as #1. Needs to hold the tips in position longer for them to expands and fill the space inside the ear canal. Not a big deal
3) Longevity. This is the main problem. The tips lost about 80% of their "squishy-ness" within a month of two at most. At that point foam will not expand fully to fill the space and barely usable as they will lose isolation (and then sound quality) when you turn your head sideways or something like that which make them lose inside your ears. A week after that the foam will completely detach itself from the plastic tube that go over the metal body. At that point you have to discard the ear tips for a new pair. I tried gluing the foam back on the plastic tube with some E6000 but doesn't work.
4) Dirtiness. The foam will be coated with ear wax after some use. Kind of gross. It can be partially clean by gently wiping the ear wax off but eventually it will become saturated. Warm water will clean the wax but it will also loosen the glue that hold the foam and the plastic tube together.

Bottom line: Good isolation and sound quality, but need to be replaced almost monthly.

I tried many of the tips that came with the Etymotic ER2XR earphones I recently purchased. It turned out that of the included tips, the grey foam ones worked the best for me. But after using them the second time, the right earbud foam remained in my ear when I removed the earbud. The rubber tube was still attached to the earbud, but the foam was in my ear. Luckily I have tweezers.

Well, I found these official Etymotic replacement foam tips. I had hoped the original tip's poor quality was a fluke. It wasn't, as one of these has already fallen apart. I'd sure love to use my earbuds, but I'm not sure I can afford to keep replacing tips...

These wear out fast

Despite being the most comfortable tips for me on my ER4SRs, Etymotic's foam tips wear out for me often after a week of every other day usage. I use my Etymotics primarily for noise cancellation, and the silicone tips hurt and have bad sealing, making foam tips my best option. However, the foam detaches from the shaft, leaving the foam in my ear, meaning I have to fish it out.

If you're particularly gentle with them, gentle when rolling the foam to insert them, and follow all of the instructions regarding pulling your ear up, relaxing your jaw, etc, you can prolong their life somewhat. In short, you don't want to torque on it while rolling, and you don't want to "push" on it while inserting it in your ear.

If these didn't have durability issues, I'd give them five stars.

Exceptional Noise-Cancellation, Horrendous Build Quality

Buyer beware:

If you are a daily all-day user of in-ear monitors, like me, then be prepared to be ordering these about every two to three months. Your mileage will vary, of course, but in my opinion, these wear out far too quickly for what they charge (although I'm not surprised, given the name).

The inevitable absorbance of in-ear moisture over time will harden the foam, making it more difficult to conform to your ear canal, thus hampering the seal and overall comfort. Worse still, the adhesive they use to secure the rubber nozzle is absurdly weak and WILL cause separation from the tip. If (more likely 'when') this happens, there's a chance it will occur whilst removing the earbud, leaving the foam piece lodged deep in your ear canal. Please be careful.

All that said, it performs in spades, as advertised, and you won't likely be disappointed. That is, until you need to continue re-ordering them when they eventually fail, but such is the nature of memory foam, I suppose.

Completely cancels noise

I was trying to find a good replacement for the Pryme Comp-A-100-foam tips for a 2-way radio (now discontinued). These Etymotics did not work for my needs. It almost completely cancels outside noise in that ear which is great for perhaps a security guard at a loud concert. I need to hear ambient noise as well as the radio traffic. $14 lesson!
