This seems to be a nice camcorder. However, I had to return it because the HDMI cable fits my computer but, surprisingly enough, does not fit the camcorder itself. Odd indeed.

I was looking for a cam, that I could pause video, as I film.
Using it to film multitude Parakeet Cages. I have 50 Parakeets in 6 huge flight cages.
I stream LIVE over YouTube, for viewers to watch them interact and mate.
However, sometimes viewers want more details of BIRDS. So, my iPhone doesn't have PAUSE feature anymore. As I move cage to cage. Makes a sloppy video. So I bought this camera, being promised it has a PAUSE. It Does NOT.
Makes a New video, every-time, I hit Standby. So with that said, I had to buy Software, to piece videos together. Very time consuming, and viewers loose interests. PLUS: The microphone is AWFUL! Can NOT add my own microphone.
Only PLUS, is 60X ZOOM--which is shaky and blurry. Can not add flash for lighting. Making darker shady moments very grainy.
Another PLUS: Has a secret battery compartment, to store and extra battery. Does not keep that battery charged. Just there for storage, if need and hopefully fully charged when needed.
PLUS: Shaking is subdued.
Software I bought is: Vegas Studio 15. With Limited options, as well. Wanted Corel, however they were sold out. I was using COREL trial version via my iPhone videos, and it crashes all the time. Tech support for Corel is in INDIA, and they are awful to talk to. Lots of excuses of issues at hand, that made no sense. So I didn't buy COREL.
OH.....let me warn you about this: The fully loaded with new data--- its-bitty memory card, JUMPS out of camera....and I could not find for several hours.......when I found it, it was 6 feet away from where I opened camera.
I will add more to this review, if Amazon, allows this one to be posted. (since I bought my cam at BestBuy.

I received this as a gift and use it extensively for recording family indoor sporting events. It does an absolutely amazing job. The results are just like being there with regards to brilliance and detail. The sound is excellent as well. The unit is so compact and so very light, it's easy to hold throughout the recording. There's a mini-HDMI port next to the memory card so when I come home from an event I simply connect the HDMI through a mini-to-large adapter and on to my TV. It takes about 15 seconds. I can then use my TV remote to control the video playback (including fast forward/back, pause, step, etc.). Nothing could be easier. I wish one could pause a recording (say, during sport time-outs) but I can;t really ding it for that. One can simply stop-then-start instead of pausing. A separate file will be created, and that works just fine.
