I am giving this 3 stars for the time being for a few reasons. I may upgrade that once I get it working but we shall see. First, let me say that it seems like a quality build. very sturdy construction and I think it should be a good router for my purposes. I live in Texas on some property and this is meant to route from a windmill tower where I have a WISP antenna receiving internet. Hopefully, it can hold up to the harsh Texas climate.
The reason for the low review initially is that there should be something in the documentation that you HAVE to purchase antennas seperately for it to work. I contacted Mikrotik and was informed of this after waiting several days (they don't respond over the weekend) and they are based in Latvia which is in a much different time zone than Texas... Anyway, I get why they have you choose your own antenna system as every application will vary but just a quick blurb in the specs would be useful.
I am now waiting for my antennas to arrive and after I get it up and running, I will update this review.
