How much can one expect for just over ten dollars? A lot more than this.
This product is poorly and cheaply made, and feels as if it cost less than 50-cents to manufacture. Normally the old rule "you get what you pay for" is trotted out for cheap crap like this, but in this case it isn't true. If it cost three dollars, then I would say "you get what you pay for" with this item. At this price, however, just about any other similar product would be superior.
The case it comes in is the worst part. It looks like it would be a convenient way to store all the contents, but it only stays closed when it comes from the vendor taped up to make it extremely difficult to open. After you finally get it open, good luck getting to ever stay securely closed again. Bad design (there aren't even tabs on the "hinge" to keep secured to the case).
The contents are merely sub-par quality plastic geometry tools for children to play with. I would have saved money and frustration by just picking up a clear acrylic ruler, protractor, small triangles, and compasses "a la carte" from the stationery isle at the supermarket. Don't be tempted by the appearance of that container holding everything so neatly inside. That's what got me. The container is worthless for "containing" so just choose based on the contents. And on that score, any other brand will be a better choice (or at least couldn't possibly be worse than this item).
