This is a great little device. I love my NES classic, but the included controller is useless with the ridiculously short cable. Since getting a couple of these, I've been using Wii remotes, Wii U pro controllers and PS3 controllers with the NES. All of them work without issue. The adapters work just as well with the SNES and plays nicely with Wii/Wii U titles that have support for the pro controller.
In addition to the button combo available with all controllers, the home buttons on connected Nintendo controllers work with the Classic consoles to drop you back to the menu.
It's nice the the manufacturer provides firmware updates to fix the quirks that have been identified through time.
The adapters are not complicated to pair with most controllers, more effort was required for a PS3 controller. A Windows PC is required for the PS3 controller pairing process. You'll want to consult the manual which is not included. It would have been nice if they at least put a QR code on the package to get to the documentation.
The only negative thing I can say is that they get extremely quirky with two of them active right next to each other. I can't imagine that two Bluetooth radios placed an inch apart can really be expected to work simultaneously without interference. I solved this issue by picking up a controller extension and hanging the second adapter off of the extension. Since putting a little distance between them, I have had no issues.

The second time I used my controller and receiver they didn't sync. I re-pair the two, but after doing so the classic no longer responded to input from the SN30 pro. I updated the firmware to both the receiver and the controller but it didn't work. Finally I decided to try a different mode, I paired the controller in "Android" mode and everything started working again. The guide button still works, so that's nice, android mode also has the benefit of being able to use the game pads turbo function on the SNES classic. -1 star for inconsistent pairing and syncing behavior.
I was pretty tired of the super short cords for the SNES classic. I decided to pick one of these up recivers so I could use my new SnN30 Pro on the SNES classic. Once the package arrived I immediately tore into it and put it into the snes, it doesn't click in like the SNES classic controllers, but then again you're not going to be pulling on it. Pairing actually gave me a little bit of difficulty, it didn't occur to me right away to start the controller in "switch mode". Once I figured this out it paired perfectly. The thing I love the most is the guide button on the sn30 pro. I no longer have to get up and hit the reset on the SNES classic to change games! Now everything is completely wireless. Thanks 8bitdo!

I searched on if anyone else used this for a mini but did not find any answers on it so Ill share my experience. I bought this so i could use a controller to play. As for the 8bitdo controller, once I plugged it into my SNES classic I just had to press the button on the reciever, and the start button on my 8bitdo controller. Instantly connected and started working. What more can I say, if you want to get this for the SNES/NES Classic Mini, this is what you need! Ok : After using this for a few hours I have one gripe with it
One downside of this product is the sync button is SO SMALL. when you plug it into your SNES Classic it kind of wiggles around and feels loose. When you try to press this TINY sync button, I feel almost as if I am going to break the reciever or the port itself. I also fumbled around trying to update the firmware on my PC since the button was so small I was trying to hold onto it while inserting it into the USB port, it was quite painful to do. I think they should make this button slightly bigger. The Long design of the unit also makes it feel flimsy when plugged into the SNES Classic and feel not very sturdy.
If they ever revise this or even read our reviews, I think maybe they want to design it to be shorter so it doesnt feel like the port will break from us just pressing the sync button.
But I would assume most people just sync once and forget about it so they wont touch the receiver often. For me I had the issue since I was trying to use the controllers both for my PC and the SNES classic
