This thing is very cool and there's a lot I want to cover here.
Pros:
- The picture quality is great and the color palettes for the systems look good
- Flashcarts like the MD Everdrive and Snes PowerPak surprisingly work in it
- Games like Doom for Snes and Yoshi's Island with special chips work just fine
- The Super Gameboy works great too
- The controllers are decent quality
- (On my 32" Tv in "game mode") there is virtually no noticeable lag and it's just like the NES Classic or SNES Mini
- Famicom games work with an adapter
Cons
- Some games like Stunt Race FX didn't work for me
- The Everdrive N8 doesn't work for me either
- The stock controllers have weird mapping for Genesis games and it might be better to just use Genesis controllers
- It only outputs 16:9 so to play your games in the original aspect ratio your TV will need to adjust the picture to 4:3
- The audio on some NES games is a little off.
Also I've read reviews of a blue model playing Genesis games at the wrong speed but this one plays them correctly. Maybe the blue unit is for PAL regions and this is for NTSC or something. Overall it could be better, there are some things that I wish worked that didn't, and it would be nice if it either output 4:3 by default or at least had a switch or a setting for it, but for the price it's pretty great especially considering that you get two controllers and an HDMI cable. It's pretty ambitious to release an HD system that plays three game libraries (five if you count Famicom and Gameboy) so it's not that surprising that a few things don't work, but honestly I'm very impressed with what did work, especially the flash carts.
Update: The audio on some NES games is off. It doesn't sound awful like AtGames Genesis systems, just the tones are a little off and that might bother purists. Otherwise I love this thing.

Well....I'm pretty much at a lost. I have the original super retro trio and the only thing that I've been saying for the last 2 years is, " the only way that the super retro trio can get any better is by incorporating either component video, hdmi video, or both." I get the super retro trio plus in today (February 15 2018) and hooked it up right away. The first game that I put in was pokemon blue on the super game boy. Turned it on and sat back to my pokemon running through hdmi.... Then the title screen music starts playing.. I thought that my hdmi cable wasn't plugged all the way in. So I double checked my connections which were spot on. Powered the system down, took the game out and cleaned the cartridges, dried them, plugged everything back in and the audio still came out HORRENDOUS! I take the super game boy out and run to my good ole trusty game to test different systems with....Streets of Rage 2. Watching the initial intro you can hear variations in the audio. But it wasn't too bad. I let the demo play and as the 1St level started up I could tell... At that point the audio within the super retro trio plus was absolutely GARBAGE CAN!!! I honestly can't believe that retro bit did this to us. I'm a pretty good 85% disappointed in this system. Your set up would be better running the original super retro trio into a video processor (like the framemeister or VP30 or VP50) and connect your video processor into your TV. The only benefit that I can give the system is utilizing hdmi video. That's it.
