The microphone on mine records a howling wind noise even in a quiet room, ruining all videos recorded with it. I researched online and discovered it's a common problem, so I contacted the GoPro support team, only to have to call them THREE TIMES; the first time they misrecorded my email address, the second time they said they would send a follow up email but neglected to, and the third time I finally managed to open a email ticket with their support team.
It took weeks of confusing back and forth until I finally got them to request I upload videos of my test recordings for them to forward to their Engineering team. Upon doing so, they FINALLY tell me that yes, there is something wrong with the microphone. I thought, whew, they'll finally uphold the warranty on this product, but then they STOPPED RESPONDING TO THE EMAIL THREAD COMPLETELY. I've sent three follow up emails over the course of two weeks and they are just completely ignoring it.
In summary, the product I received was faulty and GoPro's support team is even worse, making the "warranty" on this product absolutely worthless. I would not recommend this product to anyone.
