First off I would like to say it is a decent value for money. Definitely easy to install. Adhesion was beyond what I had expected. It definitely stuck to my Western Digital SN 850 2280 M.2 NVME SSD that was used in my Playstation 5. Now it definitely prevented the SSD from giving me the over heating error that I received with the SSD bare. I tried to transfer 7 files/games from my system main to this my WDSN850 SSD M.2. it definitely helped performance overall I don't have numbers but I can confirm that I'v experienced overheating during the Playstation 5 OS beta from 2.0 to 3.1. After applying this Heatsink it was gone. It did its' job with one minor problem. It's size.
Now while I was able to install and put the Playstation 5 shell covers back on I was not able to close the NVME M2 port with it's factory panel which was just a thin flat piece of metal. It was completely functional as a Heatsink but it lingered in the back in of my head that my PS5 was missing a piece of itself, so I had to remove it and got one that fit. That item's review will be posted after more testing. This is a decent value for your money super easy to install on any system including PS5. it's a standard installation. But the heat sink pad ended up being very sticky and hard to remove from the SSD. Why was it stuck so hard? I couldn't tell you. I've had install several different Heat sinks and they were all pretty easy to be removed, not this one. If you want it on there it's going to stay the bands that came with it was basically to help it set in place before adhesion took place. I'd buy it again for another project just not "my PS5". However if you can live without putting that piece of metal back you definitely can use this for your PlayStation 5, however I have a mild OCD that forced me to replace it.
