Useful for more than toiletries

I know this is a “toiletries” bag but I have a much better use for it. I’m a type 1 diabetic and use it as my emergency supplies and travel supplies. I can fit everything I need in it. Extra insulin for my. Insulin pens. Extra Omnipod supplies meter, glucagon and spare Dexcom sensor. It fits nicely into my medium sized messenger bag with my laptop, iPad and random cords I always carry. This is a great bag.

I had purchased one in 2019. And then again one now. The quality of the first one is great. But the new one is very rough and it feels irritable to touch.

Its good accessory. But not the premium item its being charged for.

I never thought a simple toiletry bag could have such a positive effect on my hygiene. My previous bag was small and had only a single hard to reach pocket; as a result, I couldn't store all of my daily and nightly accessories and fluids. I would occasionally forget antiperspirant in the morning, or moisturizer at night. I also never knew where my nail clippers and tweezers went.
With this Peak Design bag I have seen an immediate improvement. I can designate one large pouch for all my morning items and the other for all my evening items, and there is room to spare! The fact that it can stand up on the sink makes it perfect for home use, and easy to store under the sink and retrieve when needed. With all the extra pockets I can store more rarely-used things, like medicine and spare supplies for traveling. The outer front zipper pocket is great for holding a number of small items such as contact lenses, concealer, shaver heads, etc. There are so many pockets of different shapes and sizes, you should be able to find a place for everything.
While I have not traveled with this bag (spring 2020...), it seems flexible and tough enough to withstand being packed and tossed around. If you want an ultra-lightweight bag then this isn't it, but it should suit the needs of the majority of travelers, especially for long-durations. Finally, the bag is a great color, looks awesome, and has a lifetime warranty!
The downsides are few and minor. The first downside is the hanging position. With my current setup for home use, I have a lot of tall things sticking out of the main compartment, like my toothbrush. The bag hangs at maybe a 30 degree angle, which makes it a bit precarious for tall items sticking out. I imagine it works fine for shorter items though. The second downside is that the designated toothbrush pouch in the middle is too short for my Quip toothbrush. There are other places to store it though. And the price may seem a bit high when you can get similar bags for under $40, but I definitely believe it is worth it.

Not just for guys - this moonlights as an ingeniously organized makeup bag

By far the best makeup bag I've found, and I've tried a lot. The design is truly unique, making good use of all the space, both top & bottom, so it holds much more than expected. More important, everything's easy to see, even the small stuff. There's no pawing around trying to find things. The bag is so efficient that I find myself using it at home after trips because it just saves time in the morning. Finally I can stash makeup, hair & face product, small mirror, toothbrush, night guard & the works all in one place, and all at my fingertips.

Not being a guy, I organize things a little differently. I use the zipped outside "razor" pouch for my toothbrush, paste & floss and save the long raised middle pouch for eye pencils, etc. When pulled open, that raised pouch also makes a good temporary holder for container lids & small items, so I don't lose them while putting on makeup. That's especially handy for camping, when the bag has to serve as a makeup table. There are side pockets in different widths and depths, so I can stash lip balm in one side and travel hair spray in another, both vertical & well anchored. My husband thinks this bag is way too big for his needs, but it's perfect for mine.

Cons: It's expensive compared to the alternatives. It's not tiny, but it does squish down in a suitcase. (I am no minimalista, so I appreciate the capacity.) It's depressingly spare in appearance - you can tell that it was designed by guys with guys in mind. The bottom middle zip pocket is too skinny to be all that useful. The hook is short and I'm not sure it's totally reliable, so I mainly set the bag on a counter. But for me, the advantages more than make up for that. And if they ever design a woman's version, I bet it will fly off the shelves.

I wanted to wait until I had traveled with this pouch to write my review, and it did not disappoint! We stayed in a small place with a bathroom the size of a cruise ship bathroom, and this pouch was great for keeping everything tidy and organized. It’s design allows me to see everything inside at a glance, so there’s no hunting for little bits at the bottom of the bag or pulling everything out to find one item. Bulkiness is the only downside - it has a large-ish footprint (especially in a carry-on bag), so that plus needing to have a separate liquids bag when flying does eat up a bit of space for toiletries. However, I could also squeeze my pared-down makeup kit in here as well if I had to, so that’s a plus. (This trip was a car trip with a duffel bag so I didn’t have to pack as carefully as when flying.) Love that it’s water resistant so it won’t get soaked on a wet countertop. The hanging hook was helpful and I can get to everything easily when it’s hanging. There are TONS of small compartments and pockets to keep all the small bits organized. Overall I am very pleased with the design and functionality of this pouch, and while it’s priced higher than an average toiletry kit, for me the workmanship, materials and functionality make the price definitely worth it. It’s a keeper!
