I bought 4 of these lights over a couple weeks and intend to use them while camping and traveling on my 4 Wheeler this summer. Having tested them in the dark at home and in the woods behind my house, I am very happy with the light output and the fact that they use portable USB battery packs that I already own. I have also purchased several 6.5 foot USB cord extenders so that I can spread the lights out more than the approximately 3.5 foot USB cord that is wired to the light. With the 4 lights, this should give me about 40 feet worth of lights with a light every 10 feet, and i'll be using a length of nylon string on a spool stung between trees to make attachment points to connect the included carabiner of each light onto.
The only downside i've noted is having ordered this 4 separate times from the same amazon page, i've gotten 2 lights with a off/low/high switch and 2 lights that are just off/on. I'm not sure why this is, I would think they would all be the same. The lights with just off/on option seem to put out about the same amount of light as the other lights High, setting. I will still be using them, however I do prefer the lights with the off/low/high settings because it would give me more options for campsite lighting and reducing overall power use from my battery pack.
The only reason this listing gets a 4 star instead of a 5 is because the product you receive isn't consistent, each time you order a light, you run the chance of getting a light with off/low/high settings or just off/on.
The lights, I rate a 5 star. They are compact, bright enough for my use, weigh very little, and are efficient with power use.
Update 02/04/20:
First:
The two pictures I uploaded on the white background were to try and show the difference in brightness between the adjustable off/low/high light and the single on/off light. The light on the left in both pictures is the adjustable off/low/high light.
Second:
After looking at the goal zero site I figured out that the on/off light is a version 1 (V1) and that the off/low/high is a version 2 (V2). This listing specifically states V2 in the product description. I'm assuming that the default seller for this listing changed the two times out of four that I received the on/off (V1) version from this listing. That would explain the slight variation in price of a couple dollars each time I bought them. So as I stated before, you may get one with off/on (V1) or you may get one with off/low/high (V2).
I still think they are great lights, I just wish I had gotten all V2 versions so I could have more options to adjust power usage and light output at my campsite.
