It really is a super pack in almost every way, but bet most people are trying to figure out where/how to hang a phone on it.. especially for day hikes. (its fantastic for that too, especially in the heat). The shoulder straps are thin, vented, flexy, don't have any extra strapping or attachment points, and all of the other straps are thin/light - all of that is great until you need a place to hang a phone pouch, gps, etc..
I got lucky, already had the perfect solution for my iphone 8... Search for Maxpedition PLH for smaller phones, and Maxpedition PLP for larger phones (iphone 8+, X and II)
Those phone pouches fit the shoulder straps just right and maxpedition quality is second to none.
Just unravel the strap from the buckle on the side you want the phone to be, and slide the phone pouch up and onto the strap as shown, add a clip to the top if need/wanted.
On the con side..
The hip straps tuck away well enough I guess, but they should be removable.
It should have elastic strap tamers, or velcro wraps. As-is the straps flap in the wind. :/
Lasty, there should be a magnet on both sides.
Other than that, the pack is well thought out, super comfortable, and made with top-notch materials all stitched together nicely.
