This is one of the best bluetooth speakers I've used to date. It has a soundstage presence that puts a smile on my face, especially considering it's size and price.
Pros:
-I bought this during a sale for $149 (12/2019), and wouldn't consider anything else in that price range
-It blows my JBL charge 3 and UE Boom out of the water for sound quality, and it's kinda laughable when playing then side by side.
-sounds great at most listening angles (my JBL had to be at a forward facing band for the optimal listening angle)
-the knobs feel nice
-the outer coating is rubber and the grill is metal, which also feel nice
Cons/comments:
-it feels durable and well made, but I wouldn't take this to the lake. I feel more comfortable chucking the JBL into a backpack and onto a boat. The Marshall is better suited for going around the house
-battery life is great, but probably not 20 hours at typical listening volume.
-it doesn't get as loud as most speakers in this price range. It gets to about "loud casual" but it won't rip the down the walls. I could see this being problematic if the primary listening areas are outdoors.
