I love it other than the bumpers sucking i need extra force than the click that signals my brain that im pressing it down. Also the thrustmaster software doesnt see it on my pc. I have to use xbox360ce and had to setup hidhide for it to work in games like FH5 and rocketleague. other than the extra force and xbox360ce work around its very responsive and the module swapping is so dank. Love it for what its capable of. Hate it for its creators poop software and bumpers. 3/5
First off, I got this controller back in July. I had used a standard DualShock controller for the past 4 years and this was my first "pro" controller. First impression, it's big. It feels weird holding it in your hands at first and as someone that plays a lot of FPS games, it was somewhat difficult to reach the L1 and R1 buttons. You get used to it and of course, that varies based on hand size. It doesn't have hair stop triggers like Scuf controllers do, but you can remap the triggers to act as hair stop triggers. Everything else on the controller feels really smooth and comfortable, every button click feels like a mouse click. The buttons on the back felt comfortable after about a week of using the controller, though I don't have any experience using paddles/buttons so I can't compare it to other controllers. Now, after about a month of using it, I noticed I would get stick drift on the left thumbstick. I really wanna emphasize that I am not a button masher, I don't press down super hard on my thumbstick or any of that. It wasn't a big deal because I found that I could unplug the controller for about 3 seconds and then plug it back in and the stick drift would be gone. But here we are now in September and the left thumbstick is horrible. It moves on its own at this point and the only solution now is to buy a whole set of thumbsticks, which is gonna cost about $40. There are also times when I have tried to type out a message to someone and the cursor stays stuck in the middle of the screen (It's usually stuck on the letter "G" and won't let me spell anything out). Overall, the controller is good. However, it is frustrating paying about $180 for a controller that now needs parts replaced after only 3 months of use. (Again, not a button masher, never had an issue with stick drift on the daulshock that I had used since I got the ps4 back in 2016).
I have tried a lot of controllers in the past for multiple consoles since the NES era and this is bar far the best I had. The clicky buttons/pad, the controller texture and felling is great. The shoulder triggers have a great nice smooth feeling too! The hard edges in the triggers from the PS4 stock controller hurt my fingers so much that I was starting to develop tendinitis, using this controller alleviated the pain and the problem went away shortly after.
The controller has downsides thou, the additional back buttons are placed in such weird places, that they are pretty much useless most of the time and the the fact that you can't turn on the console boggles my mind, but they are pretty small issues when compared with the overall quality.
