I tried a 4 different bags. I am 6'4 and have a Sony a7.

The Peak Design 6L is too small for my frame and my camera unless you just want to take one lens.

The Chrome 9L has that buckle which I was paranoid it was too easy to hit and drop the bag plus the strap was terribly uncomfortable. Also, the strap would flop around when slinging. Annoying!

The Moment 6l wasn't big enough either and felt like poorer quality. The zipper was not smooth.

The 6L Peak Design Sling had a thin strap that cut into my shoulder, though it might work on smaller frames.

The 10L Peak Design Sling is perfect! It's soooo comfortable hiking with it for hours! I can have a medium size lens connected to the Sony a7 with two other lenses! One of them being a 100-400 zoom, no problem! If you want to take a water bottle, not a problem just take out a lens. Or better yet, get the Pek Design clip!

The only downside is that the strap clip inches it's way up. It operates smoothly and doesn't foul up the strap. It doesn't bother, it just come be better.

Searching for the right travel camera bag has been a real pain for me. I've looked at countless backpacks and slings online and in-person and I kept coming back to Peak Design as they seemed to strike the right balance in overall build quality and most importantly, function. So if my feelings are pretty positive about their products, why am I so conflicted about this 10L bag? To understand that, you have to understand that I first ordered the 6L version of this bag and LOVED it. The only issue with the 6L was that it simply did not fit my kit comfortably. I want to be able to travel with my Sony A7III, 2 lenses, a couple of batteries, an attachment mic, a couple of memory cards and an 11" iPad pro. That may sound like a lot, but for a weekender, that is my usual carry.
So I got the 6L and figured (based on other reviews) that it'd work just fine enough. The 6L promises to fit an 11" iPad pro, but I found right away that it does so in such an uncomfortably snug way that it is a literal struggle to get it in and out of the bag. I spent a weekend doing photography in Seattle with that bag and by the time I came home I was certain that I needed to return it due to space constraints alone. Luckily, Peak Design makes a 10L version and surely that'd work for me, right? ...not so fast. Space-wise, the 10L works MUCH better - I've no complaints in that department, but what I gain in space I seem to have lost in the build quality. The strap feels -- just not as sturdy. The claps: plastic instead of metal. What exactly happened to the quality of the construction? The main compartment itself seems the same quality and larger due to the larger bag size, but what is going on with the front pocket? I got a bigger bag -- with the same size front pocket?? And there's virtually no play to it.. It is designed for what seems like a passport or a small field notes book at most - nothing with any thickness can really be put in there. The overall feel of the bag is --- well, cheaper. Its as if someone at Peak Design said "Now make a bigger one, only at no extra production cost" or something. Now, in fairness, without comparing to the 3L or 6L to the 10L yourself, you might not ever feel this way but I can tell you, I've used both and this 10L is sub-par in some of the decisions Peak Design made with it. The 6L surprised and delighted me with its construction, so much so that I figured I'd splurge for the larger one to better fit my needs. The last thing that I expected was that in doing so I would lose in quality. Not cool at all. At $99, the 6L felt "Premium" and worth the price. But at $149, the 10L feels overpriced. The bag will do, and I'll likely keep it but I hope Peak Design hears my feedback.

A wonderful bag for everyday use but not for larger DSLRs

I love this bag but so disappointed that I have to return it. Unfortunately it was not able to accommodate my Canon 7D with 24-105 lens and L bracket with Spider holster plate attached to the camera. I could close the zip with above but only without having anything in the top inner pocket. If I put a battery or anything like that in that pocket, the main zipper was either not able to close or closed with an effort. The result was that bag would not keep it’s slick shape. I could still add a couple of more smaller lenses on each side of the camera in the main compartment though but the main issue was the camera with the lens attached.

I did not try to put an iPad in the inner pocket as I was scared that the very snug fit due to my camera will damage the iPad. And with all this, the outside pocket was pretty much unusable.

I am still giving it five stars as the built quality is very good. The bag is one of the most nice looking bag that I have ever come across. The design is very slick and beautifully carved. I off course did not get a chance to use it outside but when trying it on with the camera and a coupe of lenses at home, it felt very comfortable to wear. I cannot comment on the longer term use though but I am pretty sure it would be comfortable even for a whole day walk.

I had watched a bunch of product videos online and read multiple reviews before purchasing. Where majority of the reviews were done with mirrorless cameras, there were some that were done with DSLRs. That made me think that it would be OK for my equipment but I guess where it will be fine for smaller DSLRs, it does not have enough room for a large DSLR like Canon 7D with all the accessories attached. And while forcing the camera in but not being able to use the inner top pocket for batteries etc and not being able to use the outer pocket makes it not very useful.

I am very disappointed that I have to return this bag. I really like this and tried multiple ways to place the camera and other stuff in the bag to come up with a configuration that will allow me to keep this bag, it I guess my Camera is too big for it. Feeling very sad. I would recommend peak design to include a 15L in their line with same shape and specifications and I will be the first one or order that.

Still five stars for the bag as it is perfect for smaller equipment.

Got this bag to be a daily carry style bag for my main gear but with the ability to of course add a camera in if I need to. The material is very nice and holds up well even to some light rain. The top zipper could allow it to open a little more though as it’s quite hard to get my 12.9” iPad in and out of the sleeve. Once you get a couple of items in the main compartment it does feel a bit tight to get in and out of it. Of course, most other bags similar to this one don’t even support a tablet or laptop as large as a 12.9” iPad. So there is that advantage for Peak Design.
