Most of us complained (and rightfully so) when companies starting removing the headphone jack, claiming they were "running out of space" and didn't have room for more important things. Could be that, but how else do companies get people to buy Bluetooth headsets when there's a perfectly functional option built right into your device that's compatible with every set of headphones you already own? Either way, now that the 3.5mm jack is gone and also the free included USB-C dongles for those that absolutely must still have a cord connected for their listening pleasure, these sorts of headsets and buds have been given the spotlight, and shine they are. Google, Apple and Samsung have been well regarded for their ability to manufacture good quality buds with excellent sound, good battery and comfort, but Huawei can now be added with these new freebuds 3. Gone are the days of noticeably lackluster wireless sound and poor battery. These have lasted for around 2 hr 30 mins on a call, and take roughly 40 mins to charge to full. The case takes about the same time to fully charge, and in all has given me at least 3 full charges before it requires replenishment. The noise cancellation is mostly a gimmick feature, as it really doesn't work well, other than muffling things in this 3D sort of way. You can still hear whatever it is though. The Huawei life app is awesome as well given options for single and double tapping the buds or removing one from an ear, but the sound and range are easily the most impressive part. Sound is crystal clear, with accurately reproduced audio with no distortion. Doing a blind test between a wired set and these buds, there is no difference, plus the range is excellent, easily giving you seemingly as many feet as you need without dropping quality. Granted, these are almost a direct copy and paste from Huawei on the Apple's airpods, but if you're going to steal a design, you might as well steal the best. I will be making the full time conversion to these buds moving forward. For what it's worth, if someone you know has a pair, and you're still attached to the cord, sample these and tell me it's not a whole new world. Change doesn't always have to be bad.

Got these for the wife after she lost her nth pair of Apple earbuds. They work better IMHO as they do cancel noise, have excellent sound quality, are more comfortable and link up on bluetooth like a champ. Definitely cost more, and wife has been warned about losing them but as we know, that's like water off a duck's back. Anyway nice B-Day present she appreciated very much.

Almost great like so many others like it...

These are so close to perfect yet so far. I've never had 100% perfect wireless earbuds but the closest were AirPods. Unfortunately, I have had BlueTooth connectivity issues with AirPods on my Samsung S10e. I hate Apple but have to give them props on the functionality and fit of the AirPods, sadly could not get over the BT issues.

I got the Freebuds 3 because I prefer the hanging style fit as opposed to silicone insert earbuds--I like to be able to leave earbuds in and still hear everything going on around me.

Pros:
-Great music sound quality, very good bass response and clear high tones.
-The fit is nearly perfect, almost exactly like the AirPod.
-Charges very fast in the case.
-Minimal BlueTooth connectivity issues. There are still some occasional dropouts but not nearly as many as I've experienced with many other similar earbuds.

Cons:
-I feel like the Active Noise Cancelling is a bit of a joke. It exists but does almost nothing to mask sounds and it drains the battery.
-Sometimes the music playback will just stop. No prompting, nothing accidentally touched, it just stops.
-The tap-touch functions are spotty. Don't even bother activating the voice command tap control, it will constantly accidentally activate and interrupt your music.
-Battery life is pretty low. They get about 3 hours of continuous use before I have to charge them, but luckily the case charges surprisingly fast.
-They are advertised to stop playback if taken out of ear. So far, it has never done so after trying many many times.

Neutral
-The volume will never be able to be super loud if there is a lot of background noise (eg riding the subway) that is just part of the this non-silicone insert style earbud (not sure the technical name for it).
-The app not bad, gives some control over the functionality, could be more fleshed out.

Conclusion
End of the day I am super on the fence about returning these. I've had to return so many earbuds for failing in basic advertised functions. These are supposed to be some of the best and the best besides airpods in this non-silicone insert form factor :(. I feel like great fully functional wireless earbuds are still 5 years down the road (I've tried so many different brands and price point, all fail in some way or another).
