I got this product as a backup for my Hori minipad controller. I have to say, for the price I am impressed. I speedrun Super Mario 64 and this controller is very decent for bowser throws. All of the buttons work and the stick is good. The build quality isn’t as good as a Hori minipad, and my only other complaint is the plug into the N64 is a little big - it gets stuck sometimes when plugging it in or removing it. But overall a great controller and would buy again.
The Grey color is great and nostalgic to the original OEM N64 controller.
The Tribute 64 is a solid controller. Although no analog stick is quite as accurate as the original controller, this one comes quite close. The controller has a premium feel to it. The analog stick is very accurate and although it can be a little more sensitive, it is easy to adjust to it. The controller is comfortable for playing long hours and the buttons were very responsive and had a satisfying click every I pressed them. The only problem with this controller is the D pad. The location is quite off from the handle making it awkward to use it. Not to mention, it is quite small. For most people, this won't be an issue since the D pad wasn't utilized in most Nintendo 64 games. However, if you do have those games in your library that require it such as fighting games. I would recommend looking elsewhere. A good compromise I found is that while my old Nintendo 64 controller analog stick is worn out, the D pad still works great. I just switch between controllers now. While I use the Tribute 64 for most of my games, I will switch it with the original for the fighting games. Should you get a Tribute 64? For most people, the answer is a solid yes. For all of the beloved games that utilize the analog stick, it's almost a no brainer. Especially for such a reasonable price.
I waited over a month to really get to know this thing before i reviewed it. I will tell you why i rated it 4 stars out of 5. Because as a true gamer of the N64 over the decades since its release, i am very familiar with the standard N64 controller. I know what to expect out of the stick mainly, the feel. This stick, do not get me wrong, it is a quality piece, you can feel it and tell it is well made, not just some plastic crap. All the buttons feel pretty good. Here's the thing you will want to know. And I'm going to use Goldeneye as an example. On the standard 3-prong controller, i use my entire left hand on the top side to control the stick. Im used to kind of giving it hell since these sticks wear a bit over time, of course, and so the end result is my worn 64 sticks have quite a range before you reach max range. I really dig in on hard turns, and i have pretty good space to manipulate subtlety on stick inputs, for say, precise aiming in these archaic control schemes and game mechanics. With this new controller however, i noticed immediately it is pretty sensitive. I didn't have to tilt it too much left or right it seemed, and my character was maxed it felt on the turning. It was hard to get used to it because you touch it a little, and it does a lot. I am exaggerating a bit to emphasize the effect here. The point is, if you're going from a used 3-prong to this style controller, get ready for the sensitivity. It's possible this stick will be truly fantastic after a while of wear. I've only had it about 2 months, so i have no idea whether it stands up to true abuse and wear, and if it "wears well". It feels like it could but i just don't know. Also, this controller is for sure going to feel a bit small in your hands. If you have large hands or really long fingers, it is possible you won't be fully satisfied with the fit and button placement. But these are general nitpicks. Overall it is a great controller. If you dont need the absolute finest of input controls for speedrunning or whatever, you should find this controller adequate for your needs. Also if you simply want a bit smaller style, traditional style controller , this will fit the bill. The stick does indeed feel like a quality stick, it's a bit bigger and rubbery up top, which is a benefit, and the stick does feel good on the physical movement; again, it feels quality- made. Just be ready to adapt to the jump in zone acceleration on the stick, and you will have yourself a fine alternate controller for use .
4.0 颗星,最多 5 颗星Works great, I just don’t like the layout of the controller.

I bought this as a substitute for the OEM Nintendo 64 controllers since they are hard to find in good working conditions.
I had a couple of concerns prior to purchasing this controller. My first concern was that the quality would be bad, especially the joystick since that seems to be a thing in the modern 3rd party replacements. I did not notice any issues with the joystick and I feel it performs quite well. I’ve even let my children play with this controller and they also like it and find it easy to use.
The second concern I had was in relation to the ergonomics of the control due to the layout. 9 times out of 10 there is no noticeable issue but sometimes when I’m playing a game that gets intense, I find myself wanting the wider set traditional layout.
Overall, this controller does a good job and works well. I gave it a 4 out of 5 because I wish the layout was different. If you are wanting a controller for everyday use and don’t want to shell out more money for the other controllers out there, this is your controller.
