Great googles from a racing and training perspective. I used these while racing in college and they really helped: 1) with my head position in the pool and 2) not having to look up at the wall for turns. A fair amount of top NCAA guys use them.

There are one and a half downsides to them:
- Actual downside: Arena uses the cheapest rubber known to man. If you're swimming 9+ times per week, they'll last about 6-8 weeks/pair. This can be mitigated if you use the string nose piece and a bungie strap though.
- Sort of downside: they work so well that they are addictive. You can't really borrow a friends normal googles when you use these regularly, as tilt-less googles will throw off your head position and walls. So, order 2 pair and make sure you have a back up ready.

My favorites. This is my third pair. They fit well and do not leave huge marks around my eyes. I also like how I can see in front of me when I swim. Last, they are super comfy on my eyes. I do replace the straps with bungie straps right away because they are easier to keep adjusted. Two complaints. One, they do fog after a few months. Second, the watertight fit begins to leak after about 6 months. I take good care of them - rinse them after every swim, air dry them out of the sun and keep them in a case. They should last longer. That said, I keep buying them so the good things definitely outweigh the bad.

Mirror Coating NOT up to par

Disappointed with this product. Although the googles themselves fit nicely (hence the 2 stars), the "mirror" coating scratched after ONE SWIM IN THE OCEAN. I had them in my bag with my towel and suit and when I took them out they were already scratched! Once they are scratched, it is annoying to use because the light comes in through the scratches and not through the rest of the mirror. I bought 2 pairs and both are scratched. I didn't put them in a case to carry them to and from the ocean BUT I think it is ridiculous that I would have to do that with my normal swim things. It should be noted that this coating is VERY sensitive. And once scratched, ruins the performance of the goggles themselves.

Definite improvement over the tradition "swedish" googles thanks to the rubber sockets and split lens.
However, the quality of the lenses is horrible: the anti-fog coat wears off after a few swims, the most recent pair had the left lens much darker than the right one - wearing this google is like wearing a patch over one of the eyes.

On one hand this is not a huge deal, but on another this is an indication of negligent quality control practices of Arena googles.

I remember these now. They didn't work 25 years ago and they still don't work. Painful and completely ineffective. Went to the sports store and bought a set of TYR goggles because I know those work.
