Received my 'New' Limited Edition Squadrons Xbox controller yesterday and I was immediately bummed out. One side of the box was stuck to the bubble pack and when removed revealed the original tape was cut and the retape had come loose and stuck to the packing. The other side could be seen double taped. I checked my order to make sure I wasn't losing my mind and it was selected Buy New.

Being 'New' I didn't look at the reviews. But now I see I am not alone in receiving an already opened box. So I decided to reopen the box to see what I got. Contents matched what the item description states. You can see from the pics that the back cover doesn't line up so the plastic isn't in line and the squadron stripes do not match and line up evenly. This makes me think it is refurbished and not new. Very disappointing.

I charged it and tested and everything appears to work fine.

It seems someone has opened my product already. The unveiling has destroyed my excitement. I would like to add that my item could possibly be pre owned and a return.

It is a cool controller. But I am paying for brand new. The box comes with double tape which apparently been opened b4. And battery has used sign 2. Left hand side of faceplate is very loose when you put your hands on it. I paid top dollar for what was supposed to be “new”. Maybe a return piece from another compliant customer. I don’t know. What I can say. Hope what happened to me won’t happen to the rest of you. This bundle is still cool with fun being honest. May the force be with you.
