12/03/20: The MegaGear Leather Case fits the X-T4 perfectly. The latch over the battery feels solid and does not inhibit access to the battery.
I have been using this camera for meetings as well as shooting and have not had overheating, which I hear is generally a concern with this camera. The leather does feel warm after long use so I am ultimately not sure if this case helps with insulation or not.
I have not tried it with a gimbal but it does not overbalance the camera in any particular area.
The leather itself varies in thickness. There is a thin shield at the front which does not really help gripping the device. At the base, it does add a 1/2 inch padding of leather which feels really solid. This DOES help my grip on the camera as my hands are relatively large and the extra hight fits my hand without adding too much weight.
I have not been using the straps but they looked thin and I would not want to rest a heavy object on them - not due to any lack of strength but rather I dont a cord pulling down my neck without proper paddings.
Overall, it is a quality product, does exactly what it is made for without getting in the way at all. Probably not ideal for a smaller gimbal but I dont see it posing much of a problem overall. If you have larg hands, this is a good way to make the camera just that little bit bigger to fit our hands without breaking the bank.
