The hands down WORST feature of the Thrustmaster wheels is the "quick release system", which is a giant plastic thread and a screw that takes about 30 seconds to change out a wheel compared to Fanatec's realistic full-metal quick release system.

Even with the screw my wheel would sometimes randomly get loose and it was making me so mad. The giant thread isn't the annoying part of changing wheels, it's the screw that would make the wheel go loose without it. But with this adapter ring, you can tighten down your wheels just that extra bit and it holds your wheels in place beautifully.

In conclusion, this is a must-have accessory if you're buying a T300/TM or other Thrustmaster wheel base with the same giant plastic "quick release system". It's cheap and is SO helpful.

Great Upgrade for Thrustmaster TX Wheel to Solve Loose Collar

If your Thrustmaster Tx wheel is coming loose from the original collar backing out when racing then buy this ring. It will give you enough torque to snuggly hold your wheel on the base. It slips easily over the outside of the original collar and you can still place the original screw back in its hole. By placing the screw back in the original collar makes it impossible for the aftermarket torque ring to pop off during racing. I highly recommend this product.

Add me to the list of Thrustmaster customers who like this a lot. It does have to be snugged down pretty darned good initially, but I have played daily for a week or two without it working loose (Dirt Rally 2, TX servo/sparco wheel, 3 adult male drivers). This is a cheap, easy, and practical solution to a really crappy factory setup, and I am very happy with it.

This works exceptionally well. Simple and fits perfectly. I was considering doing a full on quick release system for changing between my two thrustmaster wheels. But this makes changing wheels very simple. Takes a little bit longer I’m sure but I’m not in big rush or anything. I don’t use the set screw anymore. Rarely it feels a little loose during a race and I can just grab it and tighten it easily while driving. Very happy with it.

Simple to install. Just line up the grooves, then slide the ring onto the sleeve on the base, and it should lock into place. Made swapping out my T300 GT, Sparco R383, and Open Wheel much easier and quicker. No more having to use that screw!
