CarPlay compatible for my iPhone

Needed a coiled lightning cable for my car, for navigation and music/podcast streaming.
Tried couple cheap non-MFi ones in the past, most cheap ones usually failed within 1-2 months. Either the wire came out, or they just don't connect CarPlay anymore. This coiled usb lightning cable by dé is Apple MFI certified and fully compatible with CarPlay in my case. Tested navigation with Google Maps and streaming Spotify podcasts, working just fine

Cable is sturdy and feels great. It's 6ft long when fully extended. The cable color matches perfectly with car interior. I use it mostly for CarPlay. So far, it seems like it's going to last for a while.

UPDATE: After a month I purchased a second one, the longer one. This thing is a lifesaver, my CarPlay does not disconnect when I hit a bump on the road, it snaps into the phone nicely. It is very well made and I recommend it 100 percent. I would also recommend you buy the longer one, because although it is longer it coils down to nothing, and the issue of too much extra wire is still a non-issue.

This thing worked right out of the box. My CarPlay works again, I was starting to think that the USB port was faulty but this product answered that question, let’s see if stands the test of time. I might get a longer one since the shorter one barely reaches the phone but I like the fact that there is not any excessive wire hanging around. First day of using I am pleased.

My new car has Apple CarPlay but in order to use it, my phone has to be plugged into the USB port which made a cable awkwardly hanging around the shift and center console. This coiled cable is so much cleaner looking and isn’t in the way but can expand to allow my phone to be used by the driver or passenger comfortably.

Update: 03/21 - FAILED after about a month of casual use. I get now "Device not supported" when I connect my iPhone to use CarPlay. Initially thought it was some interference with another CarPlay setup I had on the phone, but I removed both and still no luck. Everything works fine with another cable ...
So ultimately based on my experience I would not recommend this cable for reliable use in car. I cannot return the item now and ultimately lost the money I spent on it. Lowering my rating to 1.
And if you are expecting any support or the promised lifetime warranty- don’t count on it. The DE (morality and virtue) is just a fancy print. I have received zero replies from my requests to fulfill the warranty promise.

My original review: Ordered to use for CarPlay in new radio installation. The first impressions are very positive - it is compact (which was what I had in mind) and stretching when need to so in general very neat in the cockpit. And it works too … but this was expected.

First, I appreciate the coiling, it keeps the cord nicely out of the way without tangling with itself. I’ll probably buy another.
The only problem I had with the cord, was the plug coming loose. Apple play would shut down while driving, annoying, as others have reported. I guess it’s because the lighting connection is slightly too small so road vibrations effect it. Never had this issue with other cords.
Update; The lightening end does not stay in the socket off the iPhone. This is my third cord, the first cord stays as long as I don’t touch the phone. The second cord was useless, I sent it back. So, good luck, chances your cord will have a loose fit and not stay connected. I ordered another brand, we’ll see.
