The controller works fine over USB, but I wasn't able to confirm if it worked properly over the SNES dongle. I was using my controller on my GBA Consolizer, which has an SNES controller port. The controls were absolutely scrambled and unusable. I read online another user tried this controller on a Retron 5, and it didn't work.
This controller seems to work on the three designated devices for it (PC, Switch and SNES). However, it doesn't seem like it will work well on 3rd party systems or clone systems that support an SNES dongle.

The quality is ok. It does what it says it will do. It isn’t the best built controller out there, but it works well and for the price. I am good with it.

I bought this controller to use on my Hyperkin products. I make playing the Supaboy so much more comfortable. Games like Contra and TMNT in Time are just right for the joysticks. The only down side is that is dose not work well on the Retro 5, so if you want it for that then it's a no. However it works on cloned consoles.

I was looking for the rare combination of a quality wireless low latency 2.4ghz usb SNES controller. After hearing so many great things about the Retro-bit Saturn controller I decided to give it a chance.

The controller feels pretty faithful to the original and works beautifully with the Raspberry Pi 4. My biggest concern was that the thumb sticks would get in the way but I’m happy to report they don’t. If I had one complaint it would be how they tried to fit triggers behind L/R (there isn’t much room).

As an SNES controller, the Legacy 16 is pretty solid. The buttons are a little stiff, but are a bit lower profile on the controller, requiring less travel, same with the D-pad. They're still responsive and work fine, though. If you just want a wireless SNES controller, it's hard to go wrong with this one.

The problem I have is the analog sticks. They just plain suck, with abysmal, unreliable sensitivity and a massive deadzone. And the problem is not the sticks themselves - I swapped the sticks out with Joycon replacement sticks and the issue persists. It's obvious when using Windows' controller properties as well as in games. Since they're essentially the same sticks as Switch Joycons and aiming/moving with those feels fine (drift unassumed), I believe the issue is in firmware. Months after purchase there's still no firmware update to fix it, but maybe not as many people care about the sticks as I do to realize how bad they feel to use.

I wanted this so I could have a controller with all the common modern inputs in a small footprint, to keep in my backpack without taking up the space of an Xbox controller. Playing 2D/retro games is fine, but I know these sticks can be better, and since they're a selling point of the product that is inadequate, I can't give the Legacy 16 any more than 3 stars, nor recommend it for others seeking the same utility.
