I need a new headlight. The microdrive seemed useful, primarily because it could provide a high-intensity light (well, relative to my other lights). It worked great for commuting; I run it one level below 600 lumens and it was fine for lit streets. I haven't tried it yet on a trail.
The rear light is also very good: one feature is its blinking patters which maybe are more noticeable. at least for me. I attach it to the seat post, however the light faces down a bit and there's no built-in adjust that I saw. My current frame is large so seatpost height is pretty low; I can't remove the light from it's holder so I have to remove the entire fixture (meaning there's min height you have to use). I haven't decided if this a feature or a bug; on the other hand you remove the entire headlight for charging...
I've been plugging it into a 2.4A USB charger and it works out fine (I assume the light is smart enough to manage current). However this option is not mentioned in the manual, only a notebook port.
Anyway, I'm happy.
