Great little AirTag mounts!

These are very cool…
PROS: Discrete!! Who wants an AirTag holder that screams: “Here is the AirTag! If you pull me off and throw me away, this item will no longer be tracked!” Glue works well on solid surfaces.

CONS: Muffles the beep a bit, as does anything that covers a tiny speaker.

Note: I used superglue to attach the holder to semi-rigid but porous material inside my backpack. With super glue, hold in place for 60 seconds, then allow to sit for an hour.

An AirTag now lives in my bag well hidden and secure :-)

For Acoustic Guitars

I bought these to try for inside my acoustic guitars. Adhesion is a long term question because wood is porous. On a 1 yr old guitar it stuck easily. On a 20 year old it didn’t. I’m not deducting stars, again, because wood is porous. I had to get a pad with more alcohol on it and wipe better. But because the adhesive was compromised with wood dust I put on a circular double sided tape. It is meant for AirTags but is not as large as the backs of these hold downs. So far it’s holding. I will update if and when I have a problem. Adhesion in heat is another unanswered question. AirTags are brand new and so is this product. I hope that in time these will be made quite robustly since AirTags are more than just key and luggage finders.
The tag is held quite firmly in the pocket. I’ve no question that it will not fall out in transit. It is so firm that I’ll probably have to rip them out and get new ones when it’s time to change the batteries.
They seem well made and durable.

Great to attach an AirTag to anything flat

Five stars for the clever idea of including an alcohol wipe in the package so you could properly clean the surface. The case won't stick to dirt, and regular household cleaners leave a residue. Rubbing alcohol evaporates, and you get a clean surface. I won't know for a year, but I think this is a single-use product. I don't think I can get the AirTag out and back in to change the battery unless I remove the case completely. We'll see.

I missed the part where the adhesive was already on the case, so they won’t work for what I had planned. That being said, I’m giving 4 stars because they are silicone and might be useful if you want to actually stick the AirTag to something, although I can’t speak to how well the adhesive works. But, the case doesn’t completely cover the AirTag, I’d say they expected it to be a little thinner? I’m not sure it could fall out of the case, but I wouldn’t trust it.

A easy way to attach AirTags to other objects

These make it easier to attach AirTags to other things that may not have an easy way of hanging one or putting one inside a object. The problem is is if you need to take the AirTag out of the black silicone holder, good luck getting it out. I had to rip one open to get the AirTag out to change the battery. Luckily it comes in a two pack so I ended up using the second one to replace the first one I ripped.
