Hey there everyone I ordered this thing day one and have had a good amount of time with the device before deciding what to write about and where to go with this review. I will be comparing this emulation machine to the Original and FPGA based consoles like the Super NT, Mini Noir and MiSTER.
First off for anyone getting this for retro games they are there but let me give you a fair warning. This is an HDMI machine that is not FPGA based meaning it will have input lag and you will feel it. So any twitch based feedback GG it wont be as smooth as you remembered. Also this thing with that price tag does not include a power cord or a HDMI cord, rolls eyes you can't copy Apple until you proved your self a bit and this company has not done such a thing. Also since they do it the offical way via emulation no less lol you wont be getting first party games from Nintendo, Sony or any big game maker so your choices are very limited.
The game selection so far is pretty weak in all honesty, I think there are around 300 games. All games come on multi carts and you can plug in two carts at once sometimes unlocking a secret game if you do so.
You can skip all this garbage and go straight to buying an EVERSD which allows you to put any games you "legally" own onto the sd card plug it into the cart and badda bing. It plays everything up to N64 but it can barely handle the N64 so id suggest staying away and going with anything below it Arcade, Atari, PS1, SNES, NES, oh yea and GBA. The games run "ok" they are not really meant for this console so you can't really make things pixel perfect again like its FPGA counterparts like the MiSTER which you have so many options to make it pixel perfect with no input lag and you will be paying almost the same price.
Okay back to the hardware. The controllers suck, they are bad. Its a company with no real track record so it makes sense think MadKatz bad and thats what you will be getting. There are adapters ect to plug into this so you can use other controllers but at that point you midaswell get another device that does it all so much better.
The device its self feels bad in your hands. Not that thick Nintendo plastic but instead this really ratchet plastic that makes echo sounds when you tap it. Its ugly all around.
There are really no pros about this thing because there are just products that match this and do more for less. There is absolutely no reason to own this device unless you have money to burn.
The only reason you would ever get this is if no other console existed. I bit the bullet myself so others did not have to. I put time into it, I played the games and at the end of the day its not worth it. Your phone can do almost the same thing as this emulation machine if not more. If you are really wanting to play retro consoles highly suggest looking into FPGA consoles and if you want to build your own go with the MiSTER.
Pretty bad overall, better choices every which way at the end of the day.
