Over priced lack luster charger

I was hoping to pair this with my new Scuf Instinct pro controller. First issue off the bat why is the battery cover white ? If I bought a color to match with my controller in this case blue why would I want a white battery cover ? Second sadly it did not work as the battery cover would not fit with it. I guess scuf uses a different plate then the stock series x controller. I put it on my normal controller to see if I would keep it. The series x cover worked fine but again mismatched color. The base for this charger is far to big. I say this based on the elite 2 battery stand which is more compact and also better designed. This felt like a cheap knock off. Even the material felt cheap. From a company like razor that charged a premium for all their products I expected more. Getting the controller on the stand isn't always the easiest. Their "magnetic" feature isn't really a feature. As it doesn't work. You have to jiggle it around to get the light to turn on indicating it's charging. The elite 2 base works so much better. I'm sending this back and I have to say save your money.

I have both the black and red now and the red matches the cameo that i have. The way it recharges it fairly quickly especially when i compare it to my anker duel usb qi charging brick, it charges at a steady rapid speed (just be aware that you only get a type c cable with this item without a charging brick! So bring your own), The battery life will last you an eternity! Im not kidding you! I spent the entire snowy sunday at home playing forza horizon 5 and halo infinite and from 10am till 11pm i had 20% battery left! (But ofcourse it will vary for some people) so dont worry about not leaving it in the charging station overnight.

Does the job but is starting to mess up

So my original review was 5 stars but now the battery never charges correctly. When it’s on the base it stays orange. I wake up the next day and it’s still orange. Then I play for about an hour and I get the notification that the battery is low. I tried removing the battery and placing it back to make sure there is a good hold on there but after two days of doing this decided to contact amazing and got a replacement. I guess it was just a bad batch because there are so many positive reviews.
UPDATE:2/4/21
Not sure what’s up but this one does the same. It charges and shows the orange and when it finishes turns white then it goes back to orange. I never had this issue with my white or black controller. The one I’m currently using is the halo limited one. That shouldn’t really matter but that’s the only difference. The remote still works with no issues but my OCD goes to 100% when it does this.

In my home, our living room Xbox is primarily single player, so needed a good home for the controller when it wasn't in use (that's not on a shelf, coffee table, drawer, and dog proof). Enter the Quick Charging Stand.

I'm noticing the actual capacity of charge is lower than a regular Charge and Play kit. After an hour or so, it'll drop to ~80% charge according to the Xbox UI. However, being able to rest it on the stand always makes sure it's topped off.

The battery casing is also non standard - it doesn't interfere with game play or anything, but where your fingers may rest on the back of the controller as you're playing may be a little different.

Works great for our use case.

Amazing Quality (Expected from Razor)

The quality of this item is great the plastic is not cheap, it’s on the heavier side which gives it some “umph” and the grips on the bottom are actually good rubber grips to prevent the stand from sliding around.
However this being razor I was somewhat surprised when there really wasn’t any RGB the only LED on the charger is the charge indicator and it’s redish-orange when charging and white when full charge.
Lastly if you’re going for a simplistic modern look to your desk this is a great addition due to its size and its look.
