It's the Kickstand, Marty!

Mostly, it's a great idea to be able to hold the tablet from behind, but able to pivot it around, especially if you spend a lot of time standing up and holding the tablet.

But I consider the kickstand unusable. There is so much maneuvering you have to do to move the strap out of the way, but you don't dare pull the strap fully out, because it's a nightmare to reinsert. Once the kickstand is out, then it's a nightmare to get the thing back in. You have to press this way, while pressing that way on the other end, while you stand on one foot and stick your tongue out of your mouth just right. Basically, it's not only a complicated maneuver, but pressing that button to release the stand is very hard. I would need help to do it.

Also, there is absolutely no direction on how to get the case apart to put the tablet in. None. It comes with a plastic toothpick like device, but no instruction on what you should do with it.

Good idea, poor implementation.

This is a very heavy duty tablet case and will protect your tablet well. It's heavy to hold so the hand strap is helpful. The strap and pop-up stand are part of a rotating plate on the back that allows you to rotate the strap to fit your hand postion best. It also allows the kick stand to be positioned to view the tablet in portrait or landscape. Because the stand is not centered for horizontal viewing, it is less stable. You will need to steady the tablet if you need to touch the screen. The stand angle is great for watching a movie. It's not ideal for Zoom meetings since it shoots up from below your chin. Therfore the search for a tablet stand and the discovery that the case at about 22mm thick would not fit into either of the two stands I purchased. This is a great heavy duty tablet case, for someone, just not me. Therefore the 3 stars since it's too thick for me.

This case has a solid feel to it.
There's a hard plastic case with a rubber wrap on it with another hard plastic piece that snaps onto the face to secure the tablet in place.
The rubber is thick and spongy, protrudes in all the right places.
The kickstand is good, but I wish I could lock it more firmly in the out position.
There are small rubber flaps that you pop open to access the usb port and the headphone jack. The one for the headphone jack only accepts narrow plugs. I had to dig around in my box o' cables to find a 3.5 mm to 3.5 mm cable that would fit to connect it to a small speaker I have by my bed. If your headphones have a casing on the plug that is much more than a couple of mm larger than the plug itself you'll need to pull the rubber away to get it in, assuming it's not huge.

Note: this is not intended to be a waterproof case. It's only for impact protection on the corners and back. If your tablet falls on its face the rubber corner bumpers will keep the screen from impacting a flat surface.

My 3 year old granddaughter plays on my tablet so it was important that it was protected from her and my clumsiness and so far it has held up to both of our abuse. It also comes with a velcro strap so it is easy to carry around without worrying about it slipping out of my hands.
