So happy it failed within the return period.

this device was almost rewarding. when I first used ut, I had big plans to read news on the decent web browser it had. The kindle app worked well. then on day two, the reader would not behave: restarting while I was reading, shutting down the kindle app as soon as I started it, briser not liading web pages. then all of the sudden the thing just shut down and showed nothing onscreen at all. The battery showed it was at 40 percent before that happened. I connected to charge and after an hour I was able to start the reader. i had no problems at all for days. then after reading one night, I vlosed the cover and went to sleep. the next morning, I opened the coverto see the last page I read still onscreen, unresponsive. I connected to charge. same screen, unresposive. After ywo hours on charge, unresponsive. I checked amazon and saw I still had to e to return it, so I did. Dont buy this.

Don't buy before reading the return policy. Especially if you live abroad (South Korea). My reader arrived and the shipping box and the product box were undamaged, but my excitement soon turned to disappointment. The reader has a small crack in the top left of the screen.

No problem send it back, but the catch is I have to find and pay the courier then claim it back. I got a quote but even after claiming back the $20 Amazon allows, I would still be have to pay about 25% of what the reader cost me.

The reader is fine and luckily I can still use it, but it didn't arrive in new condition, which is what I payed for. The reader is a bit small and I honestly would pay a bit more for a larger screen.
The battery drains faster than I thought it would. The SD card slot is good to have, but I haven't made use of it much. And the android operating system is fairly easy to use.

On the plus side it is compact and has a usb-C plug not a micro connector.
It's compact and light so easy to travel with.

Would I recommend the P6? No, definitely not with the cracked screen and return issues.
Next time I'd rather buy something bigger or even just get a Kindle.

Great E-ink reader with Android System!

This e-ink reader is better than the normal paper white ink reader. In this case, this ink reader can bring lots of powerful functions and apps which drives by the android system. On the other hand, this ink reader also have power saving and open source functions. Overall, this is a really fancy reader for all type of people and usage demographically.

The light controls allow for a nice experience at day, night or bed times.
The Android system runs smoothly and WiFi connection is of great use.
Battery time is sufficient enough for a week of reading in my case (2-3 hs per day).

This is my first experience with an e-ink tablet. Previously, I read e-books on regular LCD tablets like the Amazon Fire tablet and Google Chromebook tablets. This 6" tablet is pretty small. The screen is actually shorter (but wider) than my smartphone that has a 6.5" screen. The wider form factor is useful for reading books, while the narrower form factor of my phone is more useful for watching movies.

I really like that this tablet has the Google Play Android app store built in, so I don't have to hack it to run Android apps like I have to with the Amazon Fire tablets. I like the very clean user interface of this tablet that is not full of ads like the Amazon Fire tablets. This tablet seems to have 2 different app stores, one proprietary app store that I don't trust and the regular Google Play Android app store, which is where I installed all my apps from. I installed the Amazon Kindle app from the Google app store and it runs fine. I was able to login using my Amazon password and Kindle books that I had purchased from Amazon appeared as expected and were easy to download and read. I also installed the Google Books app so I could read e-books that I purchased from Google. The Google Play app store also has numerous other free e-book readers including PDF, EPUB, etc.

In addition to downloading e-books from your cloud-based book library (like Amazon Kindle), you can side load books via the memory card, via the USB cable, or via any 3rd party cloud memory service (like Google Drive or Dropbox). These all worked fine for me.

I'm used to reading e-books on larger displays than this 6" screen. I have 8" and 10" Kindle Fire tablets that are much bigger. The 6 inch screen is of course much lighter weight and more portable, but it is harder to read because of the screen size. Reading text is fine, but image detail may be hard to view and images don't zoom out in many of my Kindle books.

This tablet comes with Android version 8 pre-installed. My Android phone is running Android version 12, which is the latest version. I do not know if this company will ever release a more up-to-date version of Android. I do not know if they are providing any of Google's monthly Android security patches. I suppose if you only read e-books, a more modern version of Android isn't that big a deal. Hopefully the e-book reader apps are providing regular security patches for their apps. The e-ink screen on this tablet is sluggish enough that I don't plan on ever using it for web surfing or even e-mail.

This tablet feels fairly fragile and I wish they had included a carrying case, but I do see that Amazon sells reasonably priced cases specifically for this tablet.
