This is all around a good purchase. It is reasonably priced, USDA certified Organic, Non-Gmo, and bottled in the USA. The manufacturers took the extra step to make sure their product is quality, and let the buyer know this right on the label. This builds confidence. No need to verify from a website, scrutinize the label, or ask a question and wait for a response. The oil smells like Helichrysum and has the healing properties I was looking for. It works. I would definitely recommend this brand and this oil.

This is, by far, the best smelling Mysore Indian sandalwood essential oil I’ve ever gotten my hands on. It is viscous and long lasting and has the “real” sandalwood finish of the old days compared to New Caledonia or synthetic sandalwoods with a sweet and powdery finish. This one has staying power and leaves a wonderful sandalwood essence all day long. Don’t be fooled by other brands that claim to be authentic. They are often extracted with organic solvents that leave behind a bitter or chemical-like finish. Red Silk is the best sandalwood I have found. I am an independent perfumer and whenever I have a recipe that calls for sandalwood - I only use Red Silk Sandalwood. It is the best!

This smells most like the Sandalwood I remember. Well done!
Pro Tip: Don’t let your Sandalwood oil sit in the heat in your mailbox this summer, being subjected to extreme heat is a perfect way to ruin the scent; This stuff smells amazing.
True Mysore Indian Sandalwood oil is rare and a precious resource given how difficult it is to cultivate as a hemi-parasitic tree, moreover santalum album trees have to reach maturity (30-40 years!) before they can be harvested for their fragrance. This is why it is so expensive and difficult to find unadulterated sandalwood; or steam distilled sandalwood instead of an organic solvent, which leaves a lingering chemical smell. This oil is very good!
—> I can’t comment on its pain relief benefits; instead I strongly recommend something less of a precious resource, such as — good old fashioned can nabis. Please don’t buy Sandalwood oil just for pain relief. There are far more effective natural remedies for pain.

It really isn't as nice as some of the lemongrass oils I've used and there is a little bit of an odd smell to it, but it is okay.
