Perfect Mouse, Don't Listen to the Youtubers / Reviewers

I have seen youtubers and reviewers say silly things like features have been removed, and theres less material, so it should be cheaper.. couldn't be more wrong. It takes the company time and resources to engineer something this light and durable with this build quality on mass production. The Logitech G Pro X is a year and half old I believe, and is still selling for $150 and this is the direct competitor. I switched from Logitech G Pro X Superlight and this is a noticeable upgrade. The switches feel absolutely amazing now compared to gen 1, and that includes the side buttons that are much easier to click now. The weight is amazing, and the sensor is noticeably better too. All in all, if you are looking for pure performance to the max, this is perfect for competitive Valorant, CS:GO, CoD, and pretty much any FPS game. Besides the Starlight 12 from FinalMouse, there is no better gaming mouse right now. No regrets, and don't listen to the silly Youtubers, they are truly amateurs at what they do.

Same feel as the v1 but lighter and less extras

Not a huge gamer but I'm sort of picky with my mouse feel and size. I tried a few different mice and my previous main mouse was the Glorious Model D, both wired and wireless. It's been a great mouse but I found the wireless version battery doesn't last more than a day and it's been "wired" almost full time. Started to be frustrated with all of the cables on my desk and tried to find another wireless that fit my hand but also wasn't super heavy, low latency and had good battery life.
From the reviews, the top gaming mouse was the Logitech G Pro X, very expensive but I wanted the lowest latency possible. While the performance of the Pro X was great, the body feel was very cheap and almost like a plastic Easter Eggshell. The body also felt too slick and combined with the extreme lightweight just didn't vibe with me.
For work I have a Razer v1 Viper wired, it's good but the buttons feel slightly mushy, so I didn't check Razer for a gaming replacement at first. Later I ended up buying a Razer v1 Viper wireless, and looks like they fixed the buttons, they were very snappy and the latency of the wireless was almost the same as the wired. After such a positive experience, I was going to buy another v1 but with the news of the v2 coming out I held out.
From the first out-of-the-box experience with the v2 Viper, I first noticed they removed the dock and there's no longer any quick charge ability. Honesly, this isn't a big deal, if you need to charge the mouse, just plug it in, and use it. With the dock, it's sitting on the stand, taking up space. The mouse is now USB-C which is nice, comes with the same very flexible cable, and the wireless dongle has a nice extender where you can have sitting as close to the mouse as possible (reduces latency).
What's the biggest change on the mouse? It's very noticeable of the weight reduction, it's about 12g of difference, but at 58g, it still feels very solid (much better over the Pro X). The body of the mouse is the same as the other Vipers, it's slightly rough but doesn't feel cheap, fitment is great in my medium hand. It is worth noting Razer had to remove a few features of the v1 Viper in order to reduce weight.
One thing is it's a solid black mouse, I love the new look. The only indication of any LED's is a very small dot right below the mouse wheel, this indicates the battery charge. There's no other LED's on the mouse so keep that in mind if you're looking for matching the keyboard. Another change is the removable of the right side "thumb buttons". The v1 Viper allows for right and left-handed use, but the v2 Viper only has the buttons on the left side (for the right handed user). A nice bonus is the included grips (four pieces, two side stickers, two for the buttons), these are very grippy type of rubber.
While I haven't owned the v2 Viper wireless long, it has great latency on the wireless side and with the light weight doesn't feel any more than my wired mice. The pricing is a bit steep but it's on par with other high end gaming mice, I would choose this over the other brands based on the Razer fits my hand the best and has the best click feel.
Downsides? The biggest issue is the auto-installer for the Razer software. I'm sure the software is not too bad but having the prompt every time is frustrating. I often use a Razer mouse for my work laptop and given the security issues, prefer to not see this app auto-execute.

Not the Superlight replacement I hoped it would be

UPDATE; 05/18/2022: I have figured out where the issue with this mouse lies. Addendum at the bottom of original review.
ORIGINAL REVIEW:
I owned (and mained) the Viper Ultimate for approximately half a year back in 2020. I thought it was the perfect mouse and could not find any mouse to compete with it. It was also really convenient to have the dock and be able to charge it wirelessly.
In mid-2021, I tried the Superlight and found it an absolute joy to use. The Superlight became my main at that time. Part of me, however, always wished that I could go back to the shape/feel of the Ultimate— in the same way that you might sometimes get an urge to text your ex— it’s familiar territory and you convince yourself that it was better than it actually was.
When this mouse was leaked and I saw the specs— I was sold. Instant buy. Did not even wait for reviews.
It took 5 hours of gameplay for me to place it back in its box. I know what you’re thinking— “WOW, YOU DID NOT EVEN GIVE IT A SOLID CHANCE.”
Normally, I would agree— if this was simply a matter of no longer being accustomed to the shape. But there are larger problems here.
The problem for me can be summed up into one word: jitter.
Tracking a target feels like I’m in the middle of having a stroke. Movement across the screen is uneven and inconsistent, visibly and noticeably so, when compared to the smooth motion of the Superlight. Even on my desktop, I was having issues predicting where the cursor would land. Just a bizarre and disorienting experience.
I do not know what to attribute this jitter to. I don’t know whether Synapse is to blame or if this new 30K sensor has its caveats. Both mice were set to 2000 DPI, both were set to 1000Hz polling rate, both were in onboard mode with the software closed, both were being used in conjunction with my Fnatic Focus3 mouse pad.
At first, I thought I was imagining it— that it was some kind of reverse-placebo effect from using the Superlight for so long. That perhaps GSYNC had turned itself off or something. So I gave it 5 hours before I switched back to the Superlight. The difference in smoothness was immediate and obvious.
Unfortunately, this mouse is a no-go for me.
Next time, I’ll think twice about dialing the ex.
ADDENDUM; 05/18/2022:
I have figured out what the issue with this mouse is and what causes the inconsistency and jaggedness in aiming.
The mouse clicks are heavier than on the V1. Heavier clicks necessitate a heavier press, leading you to push your mouse into your mouse pad, leading to inconsistency in aiming. This problem is exacerbated by the fact that NOT ONLY are these clicks heavier than on the V1, they’re also on a SIGNIFICANTLY lighter mouse.
Folks, there’s a reason why the Superlight has light clicks. They are necessary on a lightweight mouse.
