the optical lenses did not work right out of the box, I tried recalibrating the potentiometer on both, I tried regreasing the gears and rail where the drive moves and performance did not improve whatsoever.
the optical lenses will not recognize OG PS1 discs, it can read any audio CD but it will struggle to read tracks beyond #9, as the lens gets closer to the edge of the CD it has a harder time.
I couldn't find a reason to keep them as I cannot get them to work for it's main purpose which is to play video games on my old PS1.
