A few days ago, I had a crazy idea—— Renovate my house. And,I did.
With a long consideration, I chosen the drywall skimming blade set from PHENDO.
It has a COMPLETE set of skimming tools I need ,which comes with a toolbox,very useful for me
There are 3 lengths of skimming blades to choose from: BLADES 12", 22", 32"
I know,you may have no idea in those lengths.
Let me show you how I used it：
32"——Reasonable for large areas
After receiving the tools, I started painting my exterior walls first.
Because the walls outside are too big,I used the 32" blade which was wide enough.Certianly,I finished painting walls in a quick and soft speed.
22"——Suitable for normal areas
After painting exterior walls, I used 22" to paint the interior walls.
The 22" blade is better for interior walls or common areas,more flexible and detailed.
12"——Best for details
Finally,I used 12" blade to clean angles,corners, plaster gaps.12" is very flexible and convenient.
Be sure to say!I love the included extension rod very much, which can extends to 80in, allowing me to finish painting the ceiling with ease.
The Extender can help you connect the rod to the grip,allowing me to use in 2 ways.
It also comes with 3*0.5mm Replacement drywall blades!

Fantastic blades that have made skimming a breeze for me

I’ve been in the process of some serious remodeling in my older home and a lot of the framing was done very poorly. Instead of reframing I wanted to take the opportunity to hone my skimming skills. This set has been awesome. I honestly can’t imagine the name brand that costs 3-4x more performing any better. It’s all extruded aluminum and stainless. I’ve been using these over the past week and a half and they skim perfectly, clean easily, and are better than I could’ve ever expected. My single complaint is the plastic handle caps are easily knocked off by accident if they get clipped by your taping knife when working. I ended up just putting them in the case as they came off as they’re strictly aesthetic.

The only dislike I had was the case they came in coukd be a little bigger maybe a little stronger but as far as the blades go exceptional product love everything about them would but them again for sure it was a great I investment

I've done a lot of drywall finishing over the years but my purpose for these is different than most. I want to use these in my art.

I'm an artist and often need to paint straight lines to include buildings in my paintings. These work nicely for that. I will use the smallest size the most, but the larger sizes will work especially well for larger scale paintings, especially murals.

I tried these two ways and both work for my use with one being better than the other. One was to apply paint with the blade. This works better with smaller sizes and works best on smooth surfaces. The other was to simply use the blade as a straightedge and apply the paint with a brush. This works well withall surfaces including textured surfaces.

Based on past experience finishing drywall, they will do a good job and will save time. I doubt that there will be very many artists using them for my application!

My house is almost entirely done with textured walls, and we finally decided it was time to do something about it. I'm a reasonable drywaller but given the square footage we're dealing with, decided some longer skims were in order. These don't disappoint.

They are nicely built, extruded aluminum that's easy to grip. The blades themselves have just the right amount of flex and feather and are deep enough that you can carry a decent amount material along to cover a lot at once. The three sizes are useful, though I found myself going between the 12 and the 32 most of the time. They don't show any signs of wear from continued use, they seem designed for professional use. It comes with some articulating adapters for long reach, though I've never tried to use them, they seem like they'd be difficult.

The case is difficult, I still struggle to get everything into the case at once. I think I'd almost prefer a soft sided bag to the hard shell plastic.

That one small quip aside, this is a really nice kit, quality made to last a long time under repeated use, and really speeds up work like skim coats.
